It's crucial to be aware of mental health issues, particularly for mothers, this is because if they go untreated, they can cause serious problems for the mother, her child, and the entire family.Even with the primary focus being on reducing maternal and newborn mortality while promoting infant physical health,maternal mental health care is still largely neglected in low and middle-income countries. The six-week period after delivery during which the mother's reproductive organs return to their pre-pregnancy state is known as postpartum. It is a critical period in a mother's life when she undergoes numerous changes, including physiological and emotional changes, which if left untreated can lead to issues such as mother-child bonding, reckless behavior, family issues, and even infanticide if not properly assessed, identified, and treated.
