dc.description.abstractУ статті проаналізовано генезу образу смерті у двох християнізованих версіях юдейського апокрифа «Заповіт Авраама». З огляду на те, що і в грецькому, і в києво-руському текстах дескриптивні парадигми «смерть, як…» не узгоджуються ані з юдейською, ані з християнською традицією, висловлено гіпотезу, що виразно дуалістичний опис Смерті-красуні та Смерті-потвори у «Заповіті Авраама» є «слідом» (Ж. Дерріда) зороастрійських танатологічних моделей, засвоєних переписувачами апокрифа за посередництва пехлевійської «Книги про праведного Віраза». Доведено, що трансляцію та адаптацію авестійських дескриптивних парадигм у християнських апокрифах уможливлюють інтенсивні двосторонні контакти релігійних общин юдеїв і зороастрійців в ареалі Передньої Азії в добу еллінізму. Саме тоді зародилися сюжети як пехлевійського тексту, так і втраченого нині єврейського протографа «Заповіту Авраама». Особливу увагу зосереджено на механізмах витіснення кожною новою версією апокрифічного тексту елементів чужорідних культурних кодів за межі власної семіосфери або їх перекодування за допомогою вже питомої біблійної образності та фольклору.uk_UA
dc.description.abstractThe article is an attempt to investigate the genesis of the image of the death in two Christianized versions of “The Testament of Abraham,” an apocrypha of Jewish origin, by using the tools of literary thanatology. It is noted that descriptive paradigms “death as…” in both Greek and Old Church Slavonic variants of the Hebrew text are inconsistent with both Jewish and Christian religious traditions. That is why we have hypothesized that the definitely dualistic depiction of the beautiful Death and ugly Death in the apocrypha is a “trace” (J. Derrida) of Zoroastrian thanatological models. Elements of Iranian mythology were perceived by authors of the first Jewish version of “The Testament of Abraham” from Pahlavi texts, namely “The Book of the Righteous Viraz.” Although “Arda Viraf Namag” was composed in the Sassanian period, the plot of the book begins at a much earlier time. Moreover, both narratives – of the Pahlavi vision and the lost Hebrew protograph of the apocrypha – appeared in the area of Western Asia almost at the same time. In this research paper it is proved that the intensive Zoroastrian-Judaistic dialog in the Hellenistic period enabled an unconscious translation of Avestan descriptive paradigms into chronologically later Christian versions of “The Testament of Abraham.” Special attention is given to mechanisms of exclusion of external cultural elements beyond its own semiosphere required by each new version of the apocryphal text, and likewise on transcoding specificity of Zoroastrian and Judaistic symbols into native folkloric and New Testament imagery.en_US
