Abstract
The paper studies the issue of increasing the ICT competency of a Maths teacher. The study analyzes the concept of ICT competency of a Maths teacher and considers the possibilities of its formation in different countries. One of the ways to increase the ICT competency of a Maths teacher is to use the "Personal e-learning environment of the Maths teacher" online course. The authors describe the model of the developed course, which is based on the ADDIE model and takes into consideration the key activities of a teacher. The experiment, conducted among master’s students majoring in "Secondary education. Mathematics" showed the positive effects of the developed course on the level of their ICT competency. The redistribution of the percentage of the students towards normative and high levels of ICT competency formation was observed.
