Метою кваліфікаційної роботи на здобуття ступеня магістра культури є спроба дослідження когнітивних карт Києва, як
таких, що походять безпосередньо від об’єктивного простору міста, але свідчать
про загальні зміни при переході від радянської до пострадянської соціальності.
Description
Nowadays Kyiv is experiencing transformation from industrial capital of Soviet republic into the center of independent Post-Soviet state. Soviet and Post-Soviet in urban space could be understood not only as two different epochs, but rather as two simultaneous dimensions of topographic and mental maps of the city. How does current transformation of Kyiv urban space influence changes in dweller’s perceptions of the city? In what way does city concept manipulate the everyday practices of urban space users? Which vocabulary could help us to describe and analyze this process?
