Abstracts of the report of the participant of the 31st EAA Annual Meeting (2-6 September 2025, Belgrade Virtual). This study examines the Tyagin fortress as a pivotal architectural and cultural nexus within the defensive system established by Grand Duke Vitovt at the turn of the 14th and 15th centuries. Situated on the Lower Dnieper, Tyagin serves as a primary example of the multicultural synthesis characterizing the Northern Black Sea region, where Western Christian and Eastern Islamic civilizations intersected. Architecturally, the fortress aligns with the "Constantinople style," featuring a stone castle structure complete with a donjon and corner towers.en_US
