dc.description.abstractAbstracts of the report of the participants of the 31st EAA Annual Meeting (2-6 September 2025, Belgrade Virtual). The ongoing war in Ukraine is fundamentally reshaping public and private topographies through systemic violence and destruction. This study investigates the intersection of materiality and memory, focusing on how conflict-damaged spaces are transformed into memorials, spontaneous shrines, or sites of avoidance. As physical environments evolve, so does the human perception of traumatic events, creating a reciprocal relationship between the materiality of war and collective memory.en_US
