dc.descriptionThe article is the first in the research history to provide a comprehensive substantive analysis of the manuscript "Perfection and defects of the spiritual life depending on the peculiarities of the bodily organization" (1867) from the archive of Pamfil Yurkevych, which is stored in the Institute of Manuscripts of the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. The source issues of attribution and authorship of the text are clarified. The main idea of the manuscript text is highlighted, which consists in the attempt of the Kyivan philosopher to establish the diversity of human nature, and, accordingly, humanity, depending on the established patterns of interaction of bodily and mental (soul) forces of the human body. The author reveals the characteristic feature of considering this idea through the prism of the prevailing ideas of physical anthropology and racial theory at that time. It is shown that despite the chosen research perspective, P. Yurkevych in his research emphasizes the philosophical understanding of the problem of the relationship between the bodily and mental dimensions of man, which is a reflection of his anthropological studies. Several issues are highlighted in their sequential presentation by P. Yurkevych in the manuscript: establishing a correspondence between the existing diversity of forms of corporeality and human psychic life and the development of human civilization; building a hierarchy of racial difference in accordance with the hierarchy of psychic life in its dependence on corporeality; outlining the criteria of favorability or unfavorability of a certain corporeal development for the functioning of different levels of the mental system; identifying and analyzing in detail three forms of correlation between the corporeal and psychic life of man: oppression, cooperation, and resonance, which the thinker interprets as certain regularities, stable scientific laws of interpretation of both human existence and cultural and civilizational development of mankind.en_US
dc.description.abstractУ статті вперше в історії досліджень здійснено цілісний змістовний аналіз рукопису "Досконалості і недоліки душевного життя залежно від особливостей тілесної організації" (1867) з архіву Памфіла Юркевича, що зберігається в Інституті рукопису Національної бібліотеки України імені В. Вернадського. Висвітлено джерелознавчі питання атрибутації, авторства тексту. З’ясовано, що у рукописному тексті українським філософом П. Юркевичем здійснено спробу пояснити питання різноманіття людства залежно від встановлених закономірностей взаємодії тілесних і психічних (душевних) сил людського організму. Розкрито характерну особливість розгляду у рукописі питання відмінності людської природи крізь призму панівних для того часу уявлень фізичної антропології і расової теорії. Показано, що попри обраний ракурс дослідження, П. Юркевич у своїй розвідці робить акцент на філософському осмисленні проблематики взаємовідношення тілесного та душевного вимірів людини, що є відображенням основних інтенцій його антропологічних студій. Виокремлено ряд питань у їх послідовному викладі П. Юркевичем у рукописі: встановлення кореляції між існуючим різноманіттям форм тілесності і душевного життя людини та розвитком людської цивілізації; розбудова ієрархії расової відмінності відповідно до ієрархії душевного життя у його залежності від тілесності; окреслення критеріїв сприятливості чи несприятливості певної тілесної розбудови для функціонування різних рівнів душевної системи; виокремлення та детальний аналіз трьох форм співвідношення тілесної і душевної природи людини: гніт (пригнічення), співдія і резонанс, які мислитель витлумачує як певні закономірності, сталі наукові закони людського буття, що впливають на культурно-цивілізаційний розвиток людства. uk_UA
