dc.description.abstractIn today's world, financing education remains one of the key elements of sustainable development in any country, as it shapes the quality of human capital, the innovative potential of the economy and, ultimately, the social standard of living of the population. That is why spending on education should be viewed not as a current expense of the state budget, but as a long-term investment in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This thesis is confirmed by studies conducted by international organizations that focus on the interrelationships between SDG 4 "Quality Education" and the goals of overcoming poverty, increasing labor productivity and reducing inequality. The United Nations identifies a direct correlation between the level of education funding and the achievement of key SDGs – it is education that shapes the system of competencies necessary for participation in democratic governance, innovative development and socially responsible behavior of the majority of citizens. In other words, without adequate financing for education, the country cannot develop economically, innovatively, or socially.en_US
