dc.descriptionThe article is about Max Scheler’s project of philosophical anthropology, drawn in his short work The Human Place in the Cosmos of 1928. This work is based on his report The Special Human Place, which he gave a year before. The German philosopher was going to develop his ideas in a major study on philosophical anthropology, the publication of which he announced at the beginning of this sketch. However, death prevented him from doing so, and therefore in the work The Human Place in the Cosmos we find the most extensive and consistent exposition of Max Scheler’s philosophical anthropology. The main content of this conception is the description of different levels of life and their comparison with the spirit that distinguishes man from all other living beings. Scheler distinguishes between the following major levels of life: sensory impulsion, instinct, associative memory, and practical intelligence. The sensual impulse inherent in plants is directed completely outward. The instincts that arise in animals are characterized by the following features: specialization, rhythm, ensuring the survival of the species, not the individual, innateness. At the level of associate memory, new, unborn forms of adaptation in the form of conditioned reflexes can arise and therefore it already serves the survival of individuals who acquire these reflexes through trial and error. Practical intelligence, on the other hand, is primarily the ability of individuals to adapt to new, unusual conditions. Spirit is characterized by freedom and self-awareness. Scheler reinterprets Freud’s concept of sublimation and shows that, thanks to it, the spirit receives the energy of life and creates culture.en_US
dc.description.abstractУ статті йдеться про проєкт філософської антропології Макса Шелера, накреслений у невеличкому творі "Становище людини в космосі" 1928 року. Цей твір спирається на його доповідь "Особливе становище людини", яку він прочитав за рік до того. Німецький філософ збирався розвинути свої ідеї у великому дослідженні про філософську антропологію, публікацію якого він анонсує на початку цього начерку. Втім, смерть завадила йому це здійснити, і тому саме у творі "Становище людини в космосі" ми знаходимо найрозлогіший і найпослідовніший виклад філософської антропології Макса Шелера. Головним змістом цієї концепції є опис різних рівнів живого та зіставлення їх із духом, який відрізняє людину від усіх інших живих істот. Шелер розрізняє такі головні рівні живого: чуттєвий порив, інстинкт, асоціаційна пам’ять і практичний інтелект. Чуттєвий порив, притаманний рослинам, скерований цілковито назовні. Інстинкти, які виникають у тварин, характеризують такі риси: спеціалізація, ритм, забезпечення виживання виду, а не індивіда, вродженість. На рівні асоціаційної пам’яті можуть виникати нові, невроджені форми адаптації у формі умовних рефлексів, і тому вона слугує вже виживанню окремих індивідів, які набувають ці рефлекси через спроби та помилки. Практичний інтелект, натомість, — це насамперед здатність індивідів адоптуватися в нових незвичних умовах. Дух характеризує свобода та самосвідомість. Шелер пере-осмислює Фройдове поняття сублімації і показує, що завдяки їй дух отримує енергію життя і творить культуру.uk_UA
