dc.descriptionThe article, based on archival documents and partially on ego-sources, highlights and examines the problems faced by the Red Army Air Forces during the military conflict in the area of the Khalkhin-Gol River in 1939. In particular, it was concluded that the experience of combat operations demonstrated a significant technical gap between the Soviet and Japanese aircraft fleets, which was impossible to liquidate during this undeclared war. The weaknesses also included an inadequately organized system of airborne observation and warning and improper cooperation between Soviet aviation and ground units. During the research, several factors were identified that significantly reduced the combat capability of the Soviet Air Force, among them: the influence of political factors, low level of interaction, insufficient flight and tactical training, lack of political will to launch strikes on enemy territory, and insufficient material support for air surveillance, warning and communication units. The combination of all the above-mentioned factors led to the fact that, despite the fact that the USSR emerged victorious in the undeclared war with Japan, the conflict on Khalkhin-Gol demonstrated the insufficient combat capability of the Soviet Air Force and exacerbated the need for its prompt reform.en_US
dc.description.abstractУ статті на основі архівних документів та его-джерел виокремлено і проаналізовано проблеми, з якими зіткнулися військово-повітряні сили Червоної армії під час воєнного конфлікту в районі річки Халхін-Гол у 1939 р. Зокрема з’ясовано, що досвід бойових дій продемонстрував значне технічне відставання радянського авіапарку від японського, ліквідувати яке під час цієї неоголошеної війни було неможливо. До недоліків також варто віднести неналежним чином організовану систему спостереження і оповіщення про повітряну обстановку та спорадичну взаємодію радянської авіації з наземними підрозділами. Виокремлено низку факторів, що значно зменшували бойову спроможність радянських ВПС: вплив політичних чинників, незадовільна взаємодія, недостатній рівень льотно-тактичної підготовки пілотів, брак політичної волі для заподіяння ударів по території противника й недостатнє матеріальне забезпечення підрозділів повітряного спостереження, оповіщення та зв’язку (ПСОЗ). Сукупність всіх цих факторів засвідчила: незважаючи на те, що СРСР вийшов переможцем у зіткненні з Японією, конфлікт на Халхін-Голі продемонстрував недостатню бойову спроможність радянських ВПС та загострив потребу їхнього якнайшвидшого реформування.uk_UA
