Item Comprehensive system for dynamic stability and risk management in the holdings(2018) Lazareva, MarynaWithin the framework of the turbulent external environment and complex interrelations between the internal elements of a holding system, the issue of creating an adequate mechanism for a holding system support under conditions of stability and risk minimization, becomes particularly topical. The research objective. A comprehensive system formation for dynamic stability management within the holdings in view of the risk management system elements. This paper proposes a combined system for dynamic stability and risk management in a holding. An interrelation between the elements of a dynamic stability management process, i.e. a management process, a management impact formation and algorithm of macro-planning are considered. The indicators of key risks and adaptability are proposed. An example of degree evaluation of the impact of the managing company units of a holding on its adaptability is examined.Item Conceptual Dimension of Systematic Approach to the Organization Management(2016) Maltsev, EduardPurpose: The systematic representation of the individual and the organization at the conceptual level is a powerful tool to understand and design an organization as a whole. The systematic approach called to deal to the complexity of modern organizations while the use of abstraction let properly represent the relationships in the system. There are not too many attempts to combine the conceptual representation of organization and a person in the organization. Methods: We formulate a cross-cutting logic of creating links between personal and organizational concepts in the systematic approach to strategic management. It is shown that such representation is possible in the same conceptual frame: description, values, goals, mechanisms. The logic let ensure the clearness in providing integrity of the organization at the conceptual level and therefore influence people’s behaviour at work in a direction desired for the whole system. Results: It is shown that the use of a conceptual frame allows to describe an organization through the substrate (Self-concepts of employees), concept (creating value for stakeholders) and relationships (embeddedness of the concept into the substrate -Self-concepts of employees). Suggested cross-cutting logic let establish the links between personal and organizational concepts. The core in the logic is correct representation of the organization and a person at conceptual level. Discussion: The definition of the Self-concept of each employee in the same conceptual frame is not trivial task due to the difficulty of adequate "measuring of oneself, abstraction and self-description in a given frame. Very common, for example, is the discrepancy between perceptions of itself and perception about the person of others. The development of methods of forming linked and holistic conceptual representations ofpersonality and organization is an important topic for future research.Item Conceptual Modelling of Organizations(2016) Maltsev, EduardThe article offers an approach to the modelling of organizations that uses three types of representation: behavioural, normative and conceptual. This approach allows to create meaningful organizational models that adequately represent the complexity of modern organizations and may be useful in the management system development and strategic decision-making.Item Conditions for sustainability of Business Associations(2019) Lazareva, MarynaThe development of business associations at the present stage requires sustainability in a rapidly changing external environment. Business associations belong to economic systems that are advisable to consider from the standpoint of the general theory of systems to identify their immanent qualities. This approach expands the possibilities of controllability and sustainability of such economic systems, especially since this issue is the most urgent today. The article analyzed a number of system properties and formulated the necessary conditions for the stability of business associations. This allows you to build further the management of such socio-economic systems more efficiently.Item Dynamics of the Entrepreneur's Role Composition(2016) Maltsev, EduardEntrepreneur, who creates and develops his own business, is obliged to play a lot of different roles, which essentially depend on the stage a business is developing on. Entrepreneur’s personal success and the success of his business greatly depend on his ability to successfully play different roles at the different stages of the business developing. Success of an entrepreneur in his roles essentially depends on the correct definition of the roles themselves, and the degree of preparedness of the entrepreneur for having different roles – personal capabilities, knowledge and received skills and experience. At the same time, despite the large number of studies such question as definition of the company’s life phases which only metaphorically can be related to the life phases of living beings; definition of the dominating types of entrepreneurial activity; definition of the role filling and competencies specific to different stages of the company’s life cycle and definition of entrepreneurs’ place in organizational hierarchy are left unresolved. This article is aimed to solve these issues. The article highlights four key stages in the development of business depending on the type of business activity, which is important at the certain stage. New approaches to the definition of conceptual business modelling through value propositions, business models and organizational models are considered in this article. Certain types of business activities can be presented with a help of roles, focused on external or internal context at the conceptual or behavioural level. This paper shows that this requires substantially different competencies of the entrepreneur and formulates the direction for the future research.Item Entropy and information in scenario modeling of a firm: New approaches in business economics(2019) Lazareva, MarynaIn the present world featuring rapidly changing conditions of external environment, it is crucial for companies to be adaptive and resistant to any types of fluctuations. When creating scenarios of business portfolio development or medium-/long-term planning of firm activities, it is important to evaluate an efficiency of such scenario implementation. Depending on the degree of openness of the system-firm, one can talk about the different degrees of its adaptability and ability to develop. The degree of freedom of the system is determined by its entropy. The number of degrees of freedom determines the system’s ability to develop, evolve (in general). Thus, it is important to investigate the influence the entropy and information to a firm – a system and create some appropriate instruments for estimation scenarios of development. The author studies the adaptive capabilities of a firm – a system to the external environment conditions and draws a conclusion that a reasonable combination of order and chaos is required for a firm’s evolutionary development, or one should search for optimal balance between an entropy, as a degree of uncertainty (chaos), and a system awareness, as an indicator of its arrangement. The author has proposed an index of strategic adaptability for evaluation of business portfolio development scenarios. The use of system’s information and entropy as evaluation criteria’s for the feasibility of scenarios is proposed. The offered approach and instruments for evaluation of the firm’s asset portfolio development scenarios do not require complex calculations and are convenient enough to be used by any firm, concerned about its adaptability to the external environment conditions in practice.Item Formation of the ecosystem of the educational program based on social networking sites technology(КНЕУ, 2021) Kyzenko, Olena; Hrebeshkova, Olena; Kubareva, Iryna; Verba, Veronika; Lifintsev, Denys; Gurenko, AnnaThe paper investigates the problem of transforming existing ap-proaches to the formation of new effective links between universities and all stakeholders, which becomes the basis for creating competitive educational programs. The purpose of the study is to determine the prerequisites for the formation of an ecosystem and substantiate the concept of interaction between key stakeholders of the educational program based on partnership, network communications and digital transformation. Based on results of the SWOT analysis of the acting master’s educational programs, where the authors work, the feasibility of forming information and communication space of educational program as an ecosystem with the use of all opportunities provided by digital technologies is proved, in particular: the reasons for the inefficiency of existing communication channels within univer-sity educational programs are discovered; opportunities and limitations of so-cial networking technology in the deployment of the educational program SMART platform are revealed; the concept of such a virtual space is proposed; benefits of the platform for key stakeholders in the educational program are substantially analyzed. SMART platform architectonics of the educational program is elaborated that describes deciding components of the platform consid-ering the needs of key stakeholders of the educational program and SMART principles of ecosystem formation. The request of members of the educational community for the formation of an open learning space solves the following tasks: 1) students receive direct access to all educational materials, relevant information on cooperation with companies and participation in research projects; 2) expanding the boundaries of educational products, the use of new tools and forms of educational work, the involvement of business experts in the educational process; 3) direct ac-cess of employers to program students as potential employees, which minimiz-es transaction costs for finding personnel with a high level of practical compe-tence, attracting young talents, introducing modern training content in accordance with professional standards. Such collaboration will be able to en-sure the relevance of scientific research, enhance its practical significance and facilitate the transfer of innovative technologies into the business environment. The article was prepared based on the results of the German Ukrainian Tech- nology Transfer University Internships Program 2021 (https://sites.google.com/ view/guttup/).Item Positioning matrix as an assessment tool for security level of a product portfolio competitive position(2019) Lazareva, MarynaThe main objective of the study is to develop a tool for assessing the balance of the company's product portfolio, with which you can determine the security of its competitive position. As such a tool is proposed matrix positioning. The indicator of the balance of the product portfolio is the golden ratio. The relevance of this study lies in the fact that currently there is no generally accepted criterion for determining the degree of balance in the product portfolio, and that the existing matrix analysis tools do not fully provide an adequate assessment of the security of a competitive position. The study of the topic in the article is carried out in the following logical sequence: the author proves the legitimacy of using the golden ratio as the main indicator for assessing the balance of the product portfolio, then suggests the algorithm for assessing the security of the product portfolio developed by the author; further author considers modern methods for evaluating the product portfolio, then provides a method for constructing a matrix of positioning and interpretation of results using practical examples; further, there are the conclusions about the applicability of the proposed approach and tool. The article proposes the author's version of the solution to the issue of assessing the security of the competitive position of the product portfolio. A portfolio analysis tool has been developed − a positioning matrix, which involves a different combination of market growth rates and the share of a specific product/product group/brand on it. In this case, the net value of the product portfolio is calculated as a function of the company's business value. Formulated criteria for the balance of the product portfolio, based on the proportion of the "golden ratio". The competitive position of the product portfolio will be protected when the growth rate of the product/product group/brand is equal to or exceeds the market growth rate and the market share for the product group over time either remains at the same level or grows. The results of the study can be useful for the further development of approaches and tools for assessing the competitive position of the company. The positioning matrix has already shown its potential in practice and will be useful in practice when assessing the company's competitive position as a basic or complementary tool.Item Pricing forward contracts in power markets with variable renewable energy sources(2021) Huisman, Ronald; Koolen, Derck; Stet, CristianWith the ongoing increase of variable renewable energy sources (VRES), such as wind or solar power, weather dependent production profiles induce uncertainty on the supply side and change operations at large in wholesale power markets. In this paper, we study how an increasing market share of VRES affects spot power price dynamics and the forward price premium. Using data from simulated power markets, we analyse the forward premium in three identical power markets with a varying market share of VRES supplied to the system. We demonstrate that markets with a high share of supply from VRES yield a significantly lower forward premium than markets with a low market share of wind or solar supply. Our results further confirm that, regardless of the market share of supply from VRES, forward power prices contain information about future spot power prices. These insights generate important implications for producers, retailers and other market participants exposed to wholesale price risk.Item Psychologiczne i pravne interesy jednostki a postepowanie mediacyjne : [розділ монографії](2018) Yeromenko, GalynaРозділ з монографії "Alternatywne sposoby rozstrzygania sporow w Polsce, w Niemczech i na Ukrainie" (2018 р.).Item Transaction costs and synergy effects in modern corporations(2018) Lazareva, MarynaUp-to-date integrated structures are managed from a single centre. When such a centre is established, a systemic effect shall arise due to centralisation of several functions at the level of this centre. This effect shall be positive, otherwise the question of reasonability of such centralisation arises. In the accounting system of an integrated structure, all costs borne by the managing company are transactional by nature. Hence, a systemic effect from centralisation stands for saving of those types of transaction costs that result from centralisation of every function: marketing, information, payroll (department), legal support etc. More attention should be paid to the estimation of transaction costs resulting from centralisation of functions at the level of coordinating centre, as this particular type of costs could be easily determined and estimated. In this paper, we propose a formula to estimate the synergy effect resulting from centralization of functions. The costs arisen at the level of the coordinating centre are systematised. A formula to calculate such costs with regard to the standard integrated structure is offered. Particular attention is given to the costs of decision-making: a new type of costs, called costs of consideration, is justified. A simplified procedure for transaction costs management is proposed. The proposed approach to the assessment of systemic effects to save transaction costs is of high importance for practical activities, as it provides an opportunity to estimate the performance of the whole coordinating centre, evaluate the efficiency of assignment of each function and include positive effects regarding the managing department responsible for implementation of specific centralised functions into the incentive program.Item Utilizing a professional role model for development of a learner-centered learning program for managers(2018) Maltsev, EduardThe article is devoted to learner-centered learning program development for adult learners, which are experienced professionals – chief executives. The high speed of learning and precise learning outcomes are seen as the main need of an executive in a learner role. A learner-centered learning program satisfies the need. The article suggests the use of a professional role model of a learner – after learning program completion – as a main tool for the development of an appropriate learnercentered learning program. The details of the professional role model, as well as an algorithm of learner-centered learning program development, are discussed. One of the key problems in learning program development is that the skills, competencies and capabilities developed during learning programs often can’t be applied outside the learning program – in “real life” contexts. To enable a learner to be successful in real contexts, it is suggested to use a role concept in different contexts. The learning program in this case should develop not only the ability to play a role, but also play it in different contexts; not just to acquire new roles, but to be able to reduce roles for simpler ones, as well as to compose new roles.Item Value-centered entrepreneur role model design(2018) Maltsev, EduardThe article is devoted to developing a change model for entrepreneurial roles that allows to create a conceptual design for the roles of an entrepreneur at different stages of business development. The article highlights four key stages in the business development life cycle. At each step, business focuses on a certain type of client and the value created for that client. The business focus requires an entrepreneur to concentrate on performance of a certain role. An analysis of the literature about role modelling is provided. The article considers entrepreneurs’ roles at different stages of business development. There are several methodological approaches applied in the article. The systems approach and systems thinking allow to describe a business as a whole. Conceptual modelling allows to deal with complexity of a real business. Design approach allows to implement conceptual models in practice of the real business. The article proposes a change model for entrepreneurial roles and the related roles composition at the different stages of business development life cycle. This article uses the conceptual model as an analytical tool to develop a change model for entrepreneurial roles. The further development of the research relates to research of sub-roles composition for different entrepreneurial roles and abilities, necessary to perform the sub-roles efficientlyItem Volatility expectations and disagreement(2021) Huisman, Ronald; Van der Sar, Nico; Zwinkels, RemcoThis paper examines the use of survey-based measures in volatility forecasting. We argue that an aggregate volatility forecast built up from individual forecasts should be the sum of individual expected volatilities and the dispersion in mean return forecasts. We use data coming from a repeated survey to capture volatility expectations and mean returns of investors, and to produce aggregate volatility forecasts. Our surveybased volatility forecasts are consistent and quantitatively similar with forecasts based on GARCH and implied volatility models. This result is robust to both in-sample and out-of-sample comparisons and in response to news.
