dc.descriptionhe evolution of integration mechanisms in Western European countries is examined in the context of security cooperation at the national and non-governmental levels. Case studies of the creation of integration associations such as the Council of Europe, the European Economic Community, the European Union, the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, and the Western European Union serve as examples of integration at the governmental level, as well as the creation of the European Coal and Steel Community, Euratom, and the Airbus concern as examples of integration at the sectoral level. The research focuses on identifying the main factors of regional integration policy in Western Europe during the Cold War. The results of the study indicate that the evolution of regional integration policies in Western Europe in terms of security policy was influenced by such changes as the decolonisation of Western European empires after the end of World War II, the loss of relevance of French-German confrontation, the development of post-war public administration practices based on the principles of the rule of law, the market economy, and the development of common standards in the field of management, as well as changes in the international balance of power during the Cold War. It is noted that security integration in the Western European region is part of broader processes of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, which in turn are centred around a network of international institutions, each of which has its own area of responsibility; therefore, the functioning of the entire infrastructure is systematically linked to the participation of the states of the region in such organisations as the Council of Europe, the European Union, and NATO. It is also noted that the formation of a common military-industrial policy is one of the fundamental aspects of European integration, which originates in the post-war vision of international integration as a mechanism for preventing regional confrontation through the remilitarisation of Western European states.en_US
dc.description.abstractУ статті розглянуто еволюцію механізмів інтеграції в державах західноєвропейського регіону в контексті безпекової співпраці на національному та недержавному рівнях. Проаналізовано процес створення інтеграційних об’єднань Ради Європи, Європейського економічного співтовариства, Європейського Союзу, Організації Північноатлантичного договору та Західноєвропейського союзу як приклади інтеграції на рівні урядів, а також створення Європейського об’єднання вугілля і сталі, Євроатому та концерну Airbus як приклади інтеграції на галузевому рівні. Науковий інтерес спрямований на визначення основних факторів політики регіональної інтеграції в Західній Європі в період Холодної війни. За результатами дослідження встановлено, що на еволюцію політик регіональної інтеграції в Західній Європі щодо безпекової політики вплинули такі зміни, як деколонізація західноєвропейських імперій після завершення Другої світової війни, втрата актуальності франко-німецького протистояння, розбудова повоєнних практик державного управління на засаді принципів верховенства права, ринкової економіки та вироблення спільних стандартів в управлінні, а також зміна міжнародного балансу сил під час Холодної війни. Наголошено, що безпекова інтеграція в західноєвропейському регіоні є частиною ширших процесів європейської та євроатлантичної інтеграції, що зосереджуються навколо мережі міжнародних інститутів, кожен з яких має свою зону відповідальності, тож функціонування всієї інфраструктури системно пов’язане з участю держав регіону в таких організаціях, як Рада Європи, Європейський Союз, НАТО. Також зазначено, що формування спільної військово-промислової політики є одним із засадничих аспектів європейської інтеграції, що бере початок у повоєнному баченні завдання міжнародної інтеграції як механізму недопущення регіонального протистояння через ремілітаризацію держав Західної Європи.uk_UA
